a population of 27,000, is located in northwest Ohio, 20 miles
from Toledo and 65 miles from Detroit. Being a county seat,
the community offers a full range of services. Anything not
found in Bowling Green is available a short distance away in
Toledo. Lake Erie is the focus of many recreational activities
in the region. |
| The University |
| Bowling Green State University
was established in 1910. Since that time, it has grown into
a nationally recognized university with 730 full-time faculty
and 170 undergraduate, 69 Master's, and 14 Ph.D. degree programs.
The university combines the resources of a high-quality research
institution with the friendliness of a small college. Graduate
studies are supported by excellent facilities including extensive
library holdings, state-of-the-art laboratories, excellent computing
facilities, and a network of nationally recognized research
centers and institutes. |
