In addition to assistantship support, various loans, scholarships,
or student employment are available through the university's
Office of Financial
Aid and Graduate
College. |
| The department also offers research support
from several external funds. The Mancuso Family Scholarship
fund supports students attending field camp and performing field-based
research. The Hoare fund is a new fund for January, 2001 supporting
graduate student research projects. The Practical Geophysics
fund assists students with field-oriented expenses. The Material
Science/Economic Geology Research fund stimulates and supports
research in those disciplines. The department also provides
funding of graduate
student research and presentation
of research results at professional meetings through
our general foundation fund. All of these can be applied for
via a short proposal. |
