The requirements for admission to our program are stated
in the Graduate catalog. In general, you must successfully
complete an undergraduate degree in Geology or a related
area. The department and the Graduate College require
that Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores be sent
prior to consideration for financial aid. No
assistantship offers can be made until the general
scores are received. The general (verbal,
analytical, and quantitative) are required. The
GRE exams can be scheduled on short notice at computer
testing centers so there is no need to wait until the
regularly scheduled exams (paper version) at central testing
locations. |

All graduate students are required to have completed
a Field Geology course before graduating. Students who
have not taken this course as an undergraduate can take
it at Bowling Green as a graduate student. Because graduate
assistantships include a summer fee waiver, no tuition
would be charged and the student would pay only the
program charge ($800 this year).
