Scholarships and Waivers

Three forms of financial aid are available: 1. Waiver of non-resident fee. Students not residing in Ohio and not attending BGSU may apply for a full waiver of the non-resident fee. 2. The Department of Geology at Bowling Green offers a limited number of scholarships that are awarded competitively to BGSU students on the basis of quality of the academic record. 3. The National Association of Geology Teachers (NAGT) annually awards $500 scholarships to students who are attending a recognized field course. In the past years, numerous recipients have attended Bowling Green's field course. Information and application forms can be found at the NAGT website. To apply for a waiver of the non-resident fee or a departmental scholarship, check the appropriate boxes on the general field camp application form. The application for BGSU student scholarships must be received by February 29, 2008. Announcement of awards will be made at the Geology Department Annual Banquet in early April 2007.
